Whats up with him

Hi Everone. I have had Habib for about 18 months now and all of a sudden he is showing signs of aggression towards me.
I always let him out his cage in the mornings and he roams around the house untill the afternoon when I put him back. He has NEVER shown any aggression towards me when I work around him or in his cage. I am finding that the last week or two he tries to attack me when I approach his cage. He is doing this only when I have locked him in the cage for the night.
He always tries to attack my daughter, husband and strangers when they approach the cage. but why is he doing this to me now? I am feeling very hurt by his behaviour as we have come along way. I have worked extremely hard to get him to trust me and spend all day with him talking and playing etc..:Hopefully, Lisa will read this and give me some advice as she has helped me with Habib from the begining. Please if anyone can give me answers I would appreciate it.

Hi again Vee.
Ok, so Habib is reacting. He is angry he is being confined at night. But, he needs to learn being in his cage is fine, and not a punishment. So when you get him in at night, offer him a treat. In the morning, praise him when he doesnt react, or try to bite. Its his fustration coming out. As you have done so successfully in the past, it just needs to be worked though. We dont know what being caged to him in the past meant. So we need to make it into a positive experience with him now.
Have you changed your hair or new pajamas or anything else that might add to this?

Thanks Lisa, I also thought it was because he didn't want to be locked in. I have been praising him when he goes in giving him a treat. I find that as long as he can see me from his cage he is happy. Today I spent time reading next to him in his cage. He seemed fine and came forward for his good night scratch without trying to bite me. So I think I will just carry on doing as you say and see how it goes. Today he was much better.
While I have you on the subject of Habib, I wanted to ask you if there is any problem giving him a teaspoon of Liptons Iced Tea every now and again? When he sees me drinking Liptons he really gets excited and askes me 'have some'. Is it a problem allowing him a bit? Thanks for you help, much appreciated.
