I know research alone doesn't mean much since all birds have their own personality; much like humans do. Thank you for the comparison. Maybe I should make a TAG vs CAG thread...just for the real life comparison? Hmm.

Do any of you know how to find another reputable breeder in near St Augustine? I tried to google one, but it kept going back to the one who wants to give me an unweaned baby... >.<

In the UK that breeder would be breaking the law by selling an unweaned bird to you. Disgraceful

Don't you believe it about CAGs not being able to accept change! Mine accept as much change as you care to throw at them!

... yeah.

I'd still avoid that breeder. Go out of state if you have to, when the time comes. I wouldn't trust her to properly wean a grey if she never actually does it.

I know you're thinking a year away, but I'd strongly recommend getting Phoenix fully adjusted to your family, getting your family fully adjusted to birds, and your daughter old enough to understand how to handle parrots. But young enough to have a blast learning words and colors with the grey. ;D You can use your daughter as the model and that grey will learn SO fast!

That grey will also learn everything Phoenix says (screams) too.
