You are taking him to Dr. Mohan. He is my vet too. He is the best around. Does only birds.
I hope all turns out well. How did it happen? Does anyone know how to prevent this? I know occasionally you need to have their beaks trimmed. How often should that be done? Would that prevent breakage? |

The quick is definitely exposed as evidenced by the blood. The part that is hanging though looks like a blood clot.
The clot is stopping it from bleeding more. Assuming the vet cleaned the blood off, was there still something hanging? Did they do anything to help stop the bleeding?

He just got back, and they didn't do anything. I am so angry. They gave him a shot for the pain and said bye. I don't know what to do now.
