Question empty crop??????????????

how do i know if my birds crops are empty i know they have to be emptied at least once every 24 hours but how do you know for sure they are being emptied? thanks angela

If the baby is very young you should be able to see because of the lack of feathers. You should be able to feel the bone in their chest and the crop just below that. If you run your finger across the area you should feel the mushiness of food in the crop or flatness if it is emptied. Are you feeding this baby or are the parents? How old is it?

well im going to be tryin to breed my 2 amazons and i keep reading on empty crops and everything and i wanna make sure i get everything together before i start so they will be babies but i dont know to much bout it as im new to this and just throwing things out, thanks
