Question After the Vet visit??

I took Ava my foster 17yr old Amazon to the vet today and I was told that she has a bad sinus infection and that it was really bad.
She got a shot there and I have meds for her for the next 21 days.
My question is, do fids have issues with eating after a stressful day at the vet. I honestly think it was her first time or it has been a long while since her last vet check up.
I know patience and I know reassurance is what is needed, but not eating since this morning. Not even nuts. She tastes the peanut and spits it out.
Any suggestions? Am I over worried? She has also been sleeping more since the am visit.
Just a worried Foster mommy
..
Should I call the Vet again???

Ever notice how everything tastes like crap when you have a sinus infection or cold?

Try some low-fat high carbs items. Whole wheat, or better yet is coarse multi-grain, bread. I am well aware bread has few vitamins in it... but sick birds can drop weight at an alarming rate. You need to keep her energy reserves up at least far enough for her body to fight the infection. Not to mention... antibiotics on an empty tummy is none too good! Fresh uncooked corn would be really good too!

I think that the antibiotics and the shot could be tuckering her out. I wouldn't worry too much unless her appetite doesn't come back in a day or 2. If she is not used to being handled, the stress from that will have worn her out as well.

Great news she is eating and playing again.. At least till it is time for her to get handled to give her the antibotics again. She gets them once a day for 21 days.
Thanks all for your concerns and well wishes
