I need some information on a Blue Crowned Mealy Amazon that I got two weeks ago. The one I have is supposed to be 7-8 years old. He? may be older. My concern was the look of his feet compared to what I’ve seen in pictures of other BC Amazons. His feet have tannish looking scales. Is this normal, an indication of an old bird or some health reason?

A birds feet can vary in color even between individuals of the same species. Same goes for the eyes. Usually there's not much variation at all but you'll find some individuals that do vary.
With that said, amazons do need a diet higher in vitamin A, lower in fat, and lower in protein. It's also a great idea to take new birds to an avian vet to ensure their health.

update
Thanks for replying. I think I have noticed some change in his? feet lately. He was on a seed, peanut, sunflower diet when I got him.
I am attaching a picture of his feet, taken when I got him almost 4 weeks ago now. I would appreciate pictures with the same type parrot young and old to be posted for comparison. My bird groomer thinks he? is possibly twice the age as claimed by his previous owners.

His feathers seem fine. He was all dull when I got him. May have just been needing a bath though. He's got a little bit of a sheen now. His feet look horrible next to your Nia's feet. You can tell in the picture of his feet that he has all those tannish looking scales (don't know the correct name for them).
My groomer thinks he's a lot older than I was told. Maybe twice as old or perhaps even older. I'm not sure if he's a he yet, waiting on the DNA, also his disease testing. I could have been lied to all the way around. He may be old and disease ridden. I will post another picture of his feet soon. Thanks for posting such a good picture for me to compare. Now if some others would, it would help alot.
