Flying
Hi. My 15-year-old (?) amazon had his winged clipped in January 2008 by his previous owner. I have no plans to clip his wings as I would like to work on having him fly again and be able to go on "flights" outside with me. How long does it take for his flight feathers to "grow back"? Also, any recommendations as to exercises we should be doing now to build up his pectoral muscles? Thanks.

It varies depending on how often a bird molts, but most of the major feathers should have molted within 2 years. I suggest reading the links in the following thread...
