Talking Petey surprised me today!

Usually I feed my fids fresh food in the mornings but today I'm going out so all they got were their pellets, and when I was fixing a salad for my lunch I saw the sweet peppers and decided to cut up the yellow one, and use a clothes pin and clip a slice of it to the bars of all my fids cages.

As expected the tiels haven't gone near the pepper (because they've never seen it before), and truthfully I didn't expect Petey to go near it either, BUT he did! He actually ate his fill.

One of his other 2 owners must have fed him sweet peppers because he knew what it was, and ate it like there was no tomorrow!

My DYH is the most finicky eater out there....I will have to try the yellow pepper. He would not eat the green or red......
Thanks for the info!
