Mind reading birds

Thank you Monica,
It's good to know I'm not as crazy as I thought. I know that it sure seemed like Horacio knew what I was thinking, especially when involved him going back in his cage. Now when I want to put him back, I'll think "Treats" and then give him one when he goes nicely.
I also appreciate the information on clipping the flight feathers. When these grow out, I'll just keep the tips short. I never thought I'd get so attached to a bird, but I'm as they say a "Parront" and I love my "'Fids" very much. And Horacio isn't just any bird. He is so affectionate and just wants to be with me wherever I am, mostly on my shoulder. I'm so glad I have the information about his girlfriend. I guess she just isn't his type. I kept waiting for her to grow like he did, but it's good to know she isn't the same kind of Amazon. Live and learn. I'll look around for another red lored amazon to keep him company. They are so beautiful, it's like a potato chip, you can't have just one. Since I live in Mexico, they are very reasonable. I'll let you know when I find his new girlfriend. It will be soon.
Peace and parrot pecks,
Elena

That is so true. I started out with just one little baby 'zon and now have seven of them. They're each so beautiful and sooooooooo funny.

Casa Amazona, Do you have any pictures of your fids?

I'd love to see pictures of your flock. They all sound so beautiful.
Do you have any on the birdboard pictures?

I love your quote.

I think she is the white lored amazon. Horacio is definitely a red lored. Could you help me out a little with parrot vocabulary? What do you call the little nose thing? Is there a name for the tiny feathers around the eyes? Horacio's are white, hers are dark brown.

I was quoting your quote the other night. I couldn't remember it exactly but I know I got the part about the wine and the chocolate right and the Yoo Hoo what a ride! It pretty much sums up my philosophy of life.
Thanks for your pictures. I'd love to find that lilac crowned. What a beauty. Best of everything.
Elena

Thanks, Jeannie. I know they're mine, but I truly think that Rosita and Lol-a are two of the prettiest birds I've ever seen. Every time I look at them their beauty startles me. And Rosita is just as sweet as she is pretty.

You are right Joanie. Still there is something about Rosita's eyes that are just so adorable! You are a lucky Mom!
