The great amazon personality

I just had to share this story. I never even considered getting an amazon until I found my Hercules, due to the horror stories, and my ex's mom's amazon who would chase us around the house trying to nip at our feet. But once I got my mealy it changed my mind all together.

So, when I visit the wonderful bird store I am now continusously visiting the baby amazons....Last time I went I was visiting the blue fronted amazon babies, there was one that ran up to the glass, got as close as he could to me and everytime one of his fellow cage mates would come close he would stick up his leg off to the side of his body and hold them back, it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, can you guess in the picture which one was doing this??

I just thought this was a great example of what unique personalities these guys have...all personality!!! Who wants to bet I bring home another amazon?? :)

No doubt about it, they are beautiful characters. I only have one and was reluctant to take her. She's one of my most favorite birds here. In the end, its all about the INDIVIDUAL bird. Loved the photos. Thanks.
