Leaps and bounds!

Wow, in just a few days, I've really been able to bond with Ringo. He still is a little wary getting off his perch in the cage and will go for my hand. But other than that, he's a great bird to hang with! He lets me scratch an pet him all over when he's on my shoulder. However, it does come with a drawback, he is a little territorial on the shoulder and tried to snap at Yogurt today.

Some pics.

I notice that my BFA is also quite territorial when on my shoulder. She isn't at all cage territorial but will really tear into anyone or anything invading "her" space on my shoulder.

Awww, great pics!

I find Aspen (Ringo's look-alike) really loves to cuddle as well. She sits on my shoulder and if she doesn't get her cuddles she starts to very lightly nip at my neck. If I have a shirt with a open turtle type neck, she sticks her head in to get me to cuddle. She is the funniest gal. She generally only wants her cuddles at night, though, not during the day. ;~)
Here's a photo of that:

And here's one of her trying out the broccoli flowers:

Well, I was gonna call him Yoga, because he's always stretching his legs into his wings (probably common for all birds). Then I thought, he's all white and creamy, like Yogurt, and I thought Yogurt is a little more catchy, and Yoga can still be short for Yoga.

Willow,
That is amazing! I've found that Ringo only likes to be touched on his body at night as well.
I don't know if its a night thing, or just has to do with the amount of time he's on my shoulder.
He's crackin me up now, he's on my shoulder, singing to reggae music. I love it!

Lets share some more Lilac stories Willow!

Dave
