Hercules is 7 months old, mealy, he now says

Hello
Hi
Come here
good boy
boy, boy, boy
how are you

He loves to sing, as video from foofighter shows....he also is continuously talking up a storm in his cage trying to say many things that I dont understand yet. I would love him just as much if he didnt say a word, but him saying from his cage "come here" exactly like me, tugs at my heart and I cant resist taking him out of his cage. Such great personalities these sweeties are!! I am hooked :)

I have 5. Maple doesn't talk, Mulberry doesn't take, Cypress says a number of short phrases, Aspen tries to mimic Cypress but says it all gravvelly and fast, and Willow talks but only I understand her, everyone else just thinks she's speaking amazon. So, I'm really with Kim on this one. :~)

I have had Sam (YNA) for 2 months now. I was told he has a large vocabulary but I have only heard him say a few things. He says; hello, hi birdie, look at the bird, look at the puppy, outside, congo (my greys name), up, help, what, bye, goodbye and come on. He doesn't speak amazon, maybe he doesn't know he is a bird.

My male Yoshi does most of the talking;
Hello, pretty bird, pretty girl, No, careful, careful, what you doing, Justin ( my sons name, I must yell it alot!),good boy, good girl, come on, Oh no, Zoey ( his girlfirend) usually followed by a no when she's screaming, he tries to say SHHH to her also, laughs and can pick up a song in a few days and whistle it.
Zoey: Hello, pretty girl, pretty bird, laughs and screams!
I'm sure there is more but that's all I can remember right now.

Zoey's vocab

My 7 yo BFA has a pretty good vocabulary, and it's amazing how she really knows what it all means.

Good morning! (when I uncover her)

2 different "hello"s
- a loud HELLO! when she hears the front door open
- a funny "hello" that sounds like a question...this is generally when she's not quite sure what's going on...like when she's been put on the ground

A very loud "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" when she feels she's not getting enough attention...a loud scream generally follows if she doesn't get a satisfactory answer to her question

Polly want a cracker? - you can guess when this one comes out

She whistles the theme song to Morning Edition...this is her call for me

I've been trying to teach her to sing a little bit of a Puccini aria, with limited success. She will sometimes do it, but it sounds like she's singing it backwards. She does do the big opera singer vibrato, which is very funny.

Whenever someone is laughing on TV, she can't help but join in.

We keep trying to get her to say "nevermore", but we've been trying for years, so I don't think she's interested.
