Well, let's see....Kiwi says....well Kiwi doesn't talk and at 22 y/o I doubt he's gonna start now.
But "D", well....well... "D" doesn't talk either, but she can get pretty wound up and speaks "Amazon" quite well and quite loudly too!
I guess it's a good thing that I didn't get these birds for their talking abilities, huh?

You don't have to get snarky about it, I didn't mean it that way, I just thought it'd be fun to see what other peoples Amazons could say..It's not like I only have birds for their talking ability I love their personality so don't assume that..

Amber, I know Kim personally and can assure you that she wasn't being accusatory toward you. She was poking gentle fun at herself and her flock.

Liza Loo:
Hello (in 93 different inflections)
Hi, little bird
Would you look at that!
Liza Loooooooooo
Liiiiiiiiiza

Adora:
Gooooooooood bird!!!
Adora
Yum

Rico:
Watch your _ _ _ _!
Hello
Paula, pretty Paula
He's a boy
He's a brat
Hello there

Rosita:
Hello
Bikers go vroom, vroom
I like that!
I'm a pretty bird!!!
You a biker?

My bad, Dimples. I was just trying to be funny. LOL I think it's funny that I have 2 birds who have a reputation of being very good talkers and neither one of mine talk. Infact, until Joanie came by my house for a visit, I had never heard an Amazon talk. Liza Loo has a sweet sweet voice, that goes with her sweet sweet nature. I do have birds that talk, just not my amazons.

The only amazon I've heard talk (besides my Fred's hello) was over the phone and he was singing. It was a yellow shouldered and had the sweetest little voice. My dream bird is another amazon, either a yellow shouldered or a red head.

My amazon says, "pick up." "Pick up!" My sister made up a song that goes like this: "Pick up, pick up, pick up, pick up the beautiful bird." Hahahaha! So, the whole family sings it now, including the bird. He learned his name quite early on(another amazon named Kiwi). He kind of changed it, though, to "Kiwi-iwi-iwi." He says "hello," but not too often. He's starting to sing, "yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me." He says "be careful!" but only in tone...not the words exactly. He seems to be more into songs and tunes then actual words.

Fun to read about what other birds say. ^_^
