Max, good luck with your move to London (or is it a trip) ?
Did you find employment there? How many birds will you take with you....will they make you quarantine them?? I love your choice of words, they are quite different ~ but equally convey your thoughts. I would think some Zon people could answer you questions, so we'll see :) Best luck :) |

Max, the amazons might be too young. Maybe they need to be a year older. Also, are they sexed properly? Are you sure that one is a male and one is a female? Have you had them sexed at the vet or DNA sexed?
Might be that they are too young for another year or two.

Hi Max,
I agree it sounds like your birds are still too young. 3 & 4 years of age is still rather young for an amazon So how did you manage to get past all the EU hoopla to get permission to bring your parrots into London with you? I was under the understanding that the UK only allowed like Budgies, Tiels & Canaries into the country. Well Good luck with your move!

I think they may just need a bit more time, From what I know sexual maturaity is reached at about 3-4 years old, and the male is usally not fertil until 4 years old. Are you sure of there age? There breeding season is Febuary-June.
