Left Handed Amazon???

This may sound really stupid but here it is. About a week and a half ago I noticed that my baby amazons when hand feeding that one always ate from the left side of its beak when hand feeding the other always ate from the right side of its beak. Thats not all. The one that eats from the left side always steps up using its right foot. The one that eats from the right side always steps up with the left foot. I have tried to trick them and get them to do the opposite and they will not.

Before you send the men in the little white coats has any one ever noticed this?

No kidding?

I have a bappy TAG that eats from the right side, and she does favor her right foot when stepping up. She is the last of the clutch, at number 3.

Now I'm curious, is yours the baby of the clutch too?

My CAG is left footed, he prefers that foot for stepping up and eating. I've noticed most parrots show a preference for one foot or the other. I guess it's just like us being left or right handed.
