Be careful with the booda perches, parrots sometimes love to tear them apart. My BFA loves his playgym, it looks like a rough piece of driftwood.

I don't have a perch for Gabbi (YNA) to sit on outside of her cage. She would just sit there like a lump.

However, I did make a hanging play gym which she loved to death (I have to repair it). At the time I found a commercial version of the gym, but thought I could make it better myself. So I went to Lowe's and made what was essentially a hanging basket with toys and ropes. Let me tell you, she (and my other birds) ran up and down that thing like a house on fire! They love it.

Although, because it spins around and is great whirly fun, there is now a hole in my ceiling from where the hook was. I've had to find a ceiling stud in which to anchor the gym. LOL. Live and learn, I guess.

I can post instructions on what I used for the gym if you are interested. It took about twenty minutes to put together (and quite a few months to take apart). The bottom is removable for mess cleanup.

Good luck on the perch search.

I would love instructions on how to make the gym. Anything I can do to get this girl moving is a good idea.

Where did you find this book? I would love to get a copy. I made one PVC gym so far but would love to make some other ones.

Thanks Chris
