That Mealy looks like he woke up on the wrong side of the perch. What beautiful 'zonnies.

I just got my 2nd Lilac Crown 'zon. I got this one to go with the 1st one, of course!
They're SO smart! I highly recommend them! They're just as intelligent as any other 'zon and are a bit better tempered, I think, than some. Both of mine are very reluctant to bite or even nip me at all. I even got my older one 23+ yrs old, to wear a harness! (He does nip a bit while I'm putting it on him, I admit.) I think they're fabulous birds! Not all that common either, so if you're wanting one, I'd say snap him/her right up! ![]()

This is our Skippy....She'a a Lilac Crown Amazon. So similar to the lilacine other than beak color. She is a real sweetheart that we adopted last July. She is pretty laid back mot of the time. She does get all excited when I come home from work, though. She starts twitching her wings and calling out to me until I come to the room and give her scritches. Age is unknown, but I think she was finishing her first molt when we re-homed her. My wife and I have ben extremely blessed with the birds we've flocked with. They seem to adapt well with us. We got Skippy shortly after our BFA died of cancer. He was a re-homed boy and a great bird as well. Wally
