Funny Amazon Story!!!!

ok. Because The Outlaw made a challenge regarding amazons, I have a funny story. Just happened over the weekend. Ceasar, my mealy amazon, used to be my only big bird. I've only had him since Christmas Eve and it took me a bit to get him to more than tolerate me since his previous owner was a male. Its not that he didn't like me, he just preferred males. I worked with him quite a bit and he is awesome out of his cage. He's a really good boy. In April I brought home a congo, Merlin and he actually spent quite a bit of time in quarantine. More than anything, just really didn't feel like moving his cage to the other room with the birds because its not on wheels and kind of a hassle. Yeah I know. I can be lazy. So until we moved Merlin into the living with the rest of the flock, I was dividing my time between all of them. Merlin was finally moved to the living room and I wanted him to get used to the different space before I let him roam the outside of his cage. Well, Caesar's cage is on the opposite side of Merlins. The smaller cages are between them. I let Caesar and Merlin out at the same time and watched to make sure they wouldn't make the trek to each other since they haven't been property introduced. So Caesar is now sitting on his boing.......WITH HIS BACK TO ME! LOL! I think he's mad at me for letting Merlin run around like he can. I think he's a bit jealous. ROFLMAO! It's so funny watching his sit with his back to me. Merlin flew off of his cage and over to me a couple of times and when he did, Caesar would just laugh. For some reason, he thought it was funny! Last night, I went into the bedroom to watch tv and the others were put to bed and Caesar was allowed to stay out (the kids were still in the living room). I'm sitting on my bed looking for something to watch and Caesar flys off of his cage and into my bedroom and right over to me. He wanted more extra attention. Jealous little goober. LOL! I've been giving him extra attention so he knows I love him too but I guess he wanted more. LOL! So that's my funny amazon story from this weekend.

That is funny. My amazon will turn his back to me when I do something that ticks him off, and will ignore me at the same time. A featherless human!
