Collar for feather picking
My four and a half year old BFA is a real brat. He has been shreadding his feathers for most of his life. He does have fatty liver disease too. I am wondering if a collar would help. Has anyone used collars before?? Do the collars freak the parrot out?? How long can they wear them for??

The recommendation to put a collar on your bird, on any bird, should come from an avian vet after bloodwork has eliminated medical causes for the shredding/plucking. It should only be used as a very last resort.
What have you done to determine and try to eliminate the cause of the shredding/plucking?
