Jake at the vet

Yesterday I took Jake to the vet, he had his checkup, his feathers plucked andhis beak dremeled. I sent the feathers out to get done to see if Jake is Jake or Jakie....

The vet said he is in great shape, and just keep doing what I'm doing. I made him some parrot bread the other night, I used soy flour instead of wheat, he seems to like it. ;D ;D

We had visitors on my days off so he had quite a bit going on, he sure likes being the center of attention. I have made arrangements for my friend's son to get Jake when I can no longer take care of him and when Derek is in town, he takes care of Jake. They really like each other. I was thinking about letting Derek take Jake for a week or so during the summer. Is this a good idea? They live about 2 1/5 hours from me.

Is Jake Jake or Jackie? I can not tell by my monitor if he/she is a lilac crowned or not. My color is slightly off. I have a Zoey short for Gonzo, who is a lilac crowned of unknown age and a dna male. Cindy
