Peanut is learning to talk

Everyday my Peanut surprises me with her antics and growth.* She has become quite the chatterbox, most of it sounds like* someone talking underwater, but every once in a while a word or two will be clear.* She says "What Cha Doin?", and "Silly Bird". She is only 9 months old and talking is an added bonus.* From all I've read on White Fronts, talking isn't one of thier best abilities.

She is also fearless!! She loves new things, toys, food, people, or just being taken to different rooms. I am so lucky to share my home with her. She really enjoys hanging upside down. She is just begionning to let me touch her back.* She really isn't much of a cuddler, but does enjoy a head scratch, on her terms of course!!

Here is a picture of her>

Re: Peanut is learning to talk

Isn't it nice to find a bird that fits in so well? Did she pick up the words easily? She might develope quite the vocabulary, congradulations.

Re: Peanut is learning to talk

She pretty much picks it up on her own, I always talk to her like you would a child, when I do something I tell her what it is, or say good morning when she gets up and night night when I put her to bed at night. This is all new to me, but I sure am enjoying it!!

I can see why others have flocks of birds, but I will just stick with one. I don't think I'd have the time or energy to take care of more than her!! Not enough hours in the day.

I haven't read much about vet visits, should I schedule here for twice a year, or should it be quarterly? Well I work graveyard and I just got home, need to rest a bit.
