here are more pics of sonny the panama amazon

I measured him with the tape measure and it says that the panama amazon is 13 inches from head to tail and sonny is exactly 13 inches long from head to tail. The yellow crowns are 14-15 inches from head to tail.

sonny the panama amazon

I bought him from the owner who hatched him and hand raised him from an egg the owner thought he was a yellow crown amazon. I'm wondering where did she get the egg?

and if they tell you that all panamas do not go through

a hormonal stage think again. Sonny has his hormonal days now that its breeding season. Although he's probably tame compared to the hot 3. He still growls and his pupils dilate and head feathers puff up and he does the tail displays. He doesn't bite hard but when he;s hormonal he's a grouch and nips. A hot 3 will draw blood during a hormonal stage.

panamas are considered rare amazons and difficult to find

I can't even find any for sale and the breeders want 1500 dollars for a panama amazon.
Sonny is a great talker and probably could sing he makes noises like high pitches like he's trying to sing maybe with a little training he can sing opera.

I've had him for

3 months now and I think hes use to his new home. I don't think that he shows signs of missing his previous owner; she was his first and only other owner for 8 years before I bought him.
