That is an Orange-winged amazon. I'm not sure what SGD is so I can't help you there.

Yes, that is an orange wing amazon, and one hoping for some better food that just sunflower seeds, too. They ar enot known for their talking ability like some of the other species, but they can talk. My girl doesn't though. I adore her just the same. Can't help you out on price, though. Sorry.

Ahhhhh. An Orange Wing. These birds are so under rated. They are very plentiful and because of this many people did not breed them since it was cheaper to get a wild-capture one than feed a pair for a year.

For years I heard Orange Wings were not good talkers. Many years ago I had a friend that used to climb the palm trees and catch parrots for his grandma in Colombia, South America. He went home for a visit and brought me two wild-captured males...about a year old. (Yes, they had all their legal papers). What a delight these two boys were. They were completely hand tame in a week. They remained sweet and gentle even when later put in a breeding situation.

The one was smart as a whip and could unlock any cage. Not only would he let himself out, but all my other birds as well. He was sold to a large breeder and you guessed it, he unlocked all the cages and every one was liberated.
(Thank heavens they were in an enclosed building).

Any way, they were real. sweeties and very pretty. I sold them to a person that had pet African Greys. These two Orange Wings out talked her mature
greys. I sold them because my husband could not take the pitch of their scream. Since he was very good about all the other Amazons screaming I decided it would be better for all concerned to get these boys to another home. I did not want them to leave my house until I had worked with them a bit. They quickly caught on to any trick I tried teaching them and were very
clear talkers that would talk in front of anyone. My Nape TJ still calls for the
one Orange Wing and he left our home nearly 15 years ago. I had no idea he
liked "Pickles" at all. TJ tells me that "Pickles is a very good boy".

Some speak wonderfully, others not so well or not at all. It is all up to the individual bird. Yes, my avatar pic is a photo of my OWA, Willow.

my OWA did not talk at all..but she did not need to ....
I understood her completely!
She was the sweetest natured Amazon I ever crossed paths with.
She is sadly missed.

Willow is beautiful. I recently purchased an O.W.A. ( TITAN ) and love him so much. When we got him from the breeder he was a handfull. He wanted to peck anyones eyes out. The breeder was about an hour from my house and he was sitting on my finger looking out the window before we got home. He had never been handled before me. I have had him for about five months now and he is the sweetest bird ever. He also has a pretty good vocabulary for only being here 5 months. He answers the phone, whistles at girls, likes andy griffith says he loves me, The funniest thing he does is makes the sounds of bombs dropping and exploding like my computer games. (i'm a 33 year old KID). I guess what I'm trying to say is, You cant really generalize birds some talk better than others.
