OWA and Severe Macaw?

Hi Everyone! I am looking for some feedback on possibly getting a 3 yo female severe macaw. I have a 3 yo OWA male who is the absolute love of my life and I was wondering if anyone out there have both these birds and how they get along? They would have their own separate cages and I would quarantine the severe macaw until I was sure she is healthy before putting her in the same room as my amazon, but they would eventually share the same room. Any thoughts or information will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Donna

I just bird sat my neighbors OWA last weekend ( I have a severe), I used my birds old cage and put it in the same room (living) but made sure the two never got close enough to cause harm (the OWA was a new baby from the same shop as I got mine, so I felt confident no deseases where brought in, and I cleaned the old cage again when she left)...

the reaction of mine to a visitor, other than getting a little energetic at first, he calmed down to a ho-hum, no big deal attitude when I didn't change the attention he was getting compared to the new baby. And her attention was given when mine was occupied....

Read the attudute and adjust accordingly, I happen to find a balance that both accepted.
