Congrats on your new companion.

You need to start with the basics, and the best way is to slowly start with step up training. If the bird bites, use a wooden dowel and then progress to your hand. Also you need to make sure his wings are clipped. This will help in training and taming. Training him in step up will help you bond with him as well as help you teach him household rules.

Remember you have to be firm with him.

He needs his flight feathers trimmed, not his wings. Your vet, or an experienced goomer can help you trim the flight feathers. Or maybe even your local pet shop.

Trimming the flight feathers ensures he cannot fly away, and in lots of birds brings an immediate additude adjustment. And makes your home safer for him in the beggining so he does not crash into unfamiliar territory.

Did you read the thread I sent to you after you PM'd me? There is a whole thread with step by step instructions here on this site. I haven't read through the whole thing but you should read through it as it may be very helpful to you.

It's going to take a little work - there is no taming "pill". Consistency and patience are key.

The wing trim is for your safety as well as the birds. Amazons can get pretty nasty and who wants an Amazon in overload flying into their face. Not Me!!! Patience is a must and controlled training times as well. I would not work with the bird more than 15 minutes at a time. Start off sitting by the cage and just talking to the bird. Try to get him to take food from you. You must build trust. Everything with these guys is a trust issue. After you get his trust work on the step-up command. Reward him and praise him when he is doing what you ask. Verbal reward works better for amazons because of the potential for being overweight. The reward will be amazing once you form your bond. I dont believe there is stronger bond than that with an amazon. They are just so loyal!!!!

OK, I need to ask this just to make sure *I* am not going nutty here.... :aiwebs_01

Ah He, How many birds do you have, and what are they??

So far I've seen you post about at least 3 different birds and how you just got it, and asking how to train it, how to feed it, etc.
Where are you getting these birds?

Why are you buying/getting them all within a short time and yet seem to have no idea how to handle them, or the basics about step up training, what to feed them, or anything? Sometimes you claim you don't even know what kind of bird you've gotten! Then you've asked the same basic questions for each bird. Well Ah He, the training and wing clipping and that kind of stuff is ALL the SAME for any bird...

I believe it's been mentioned already that the best way to learn how to "train" a bird for the basics is by reading a couple of good books on the topic. (Titles were suggested if I recall correctly)
Something you really should have looked into - if not before you got your first bird, certainly before you got your second, and third, and so on...

Frankly, this whole scenario is starting to make me wonder....

while me have three birds all together that is ellectus, sun conure n orange amazon.electus about 1 yr,sun conure about 8months,amazon 10months+...sun conure would never bite me n i tink he now try to get used to me n trust me but one thing tat he dun like me to do is trim his nail.he would make noise n bite me...i can see myself that my conure is active n playful...for my electus is now become more wild than last time...i tink maybe coz of lack playing wif her n spend less time wif her....but she can talk n make different of noises likes hello, meow,whistle...for my amazon he is now abit calm wif me than before...n i tink i need more time to tame him n form the trust together with patient we could form a good bond... ur msg that i have read is not that i dun know how to tame them or wat so for but me need some feedback from u all on how n how n so for so that i could get more clear n understand more about my birds...thanks for ur reply...
