I only have experience with Macaws; a friend of mine acquired a pair or Orange-Winged Amazons, ans she has a healthy 3 week old baby. Mom is tired of feeding the baby.......I have no problem handfeeding, but need to know the amounts for this age of baby? Like I said, I am used to feeding macaws, and I can only assume that an amazon would consume less than half?
Thanks, |

My Blue Fronts are eating between 20 and 25cc every three to four hours. They are only 2-3wks old. One is about a week younger. It's an individual baby issue. Just be sure you don't overfill or overstretch their crop. Same as a Macaw. Amounts seem to fit the size of the baby not really a specific number. Check with your Vet if you are still worried.
