Smile my bird is begging!

hi my blue fronted amazon is sat on its usual spot the the top of the cage door dispite having several perches in and out its cage. over the past few days roxy has seemed to be begging at the direction straight out the window! Now this morning roxy has flew directly towards both windows in the house as if he wants out lol. Think roxy can see the wild birds outside flying in the sky? The cage has always been situated in the same place but roxy has only just started showing this behaviour. Head slightly down wings slightly open in the take off position flapping. Im just a bit conserned that roxy is going to hurt him self flying at the window. Do i move the cage? Just that the cage has been in its place ever since we fetched roxy home 4 years ago and dont want to upset him!

Roxy might be agitated at something outside. Maybe he thinks those birds outside are a threat to him and his home ??? I don't know for sure.

But with my birds, head down and wings out means "Keep away from me and my cage. It's not a good time right now."

His mamma didn't raise no fool. If he flies into the window, he will only do it once.

Maybe clipping his wings and taking him outside so he can get some air and sunlight might be all he wants. My U2 gets in moods when she wants to go out and help me hang clothes or take the dog for a walk. Other times, she doesn't want any part of the outdoors.

I can't tell you what is best for you but I can tell you what works for me... And that is to let the bird "tell" you by their actions, body language, etc. We all wish they could speak English but Roxy will let you know.

I never move a cage unless the bird is in some sort of real danger.
