amazons jealous birds?

Ok i got jesse last month (yellow naped amazon) hubby decided he wanted one of his own so we got stanely (double yellow headed amazon)Jesse has never tried to bite me he does chew and it can get uncomfortable but never an actual bite. when we first got stanley home today i decided to pick him up (and got bit ugh oh well didn't hurt that bad) but jesse saw me try to pick up stanley and then i was paying attention to stanley and went to pet jesse who grabed my finger and bit me! wasn't very hard and didn't bleed but he did break skin...felt more like when a cockatiel or budgie bites you...anyways my question is this was this jesse's way of showing that he was jealous of the attention stanley was getting from me

I think this is an issue that is a possible for all species. I've seen birds of all types show signs of jelousy...just like a two year-old child.

hi ,i always compare parrots to children the difference is that ,the children grew up but the parrots nevere . so ur bird is showing jalousie and that is normal .when i was holding a child in front of my young amazon he start screeming and flying in a crazy way.the parrot is looking at his owner to be his partnere . another example of jalousie my jaco ,he nevere eat if i start by giving fruits to my amazon he just throw the fruit down in a very violent way.
