DYH baby update/pics

I heard from the breeder and my baby continues to do well. She is quite full of life and just a fun bird. She was mad at the breeder the other day because he had to trim her wings up a bit as she was flying all around the aviary and getting into everything. She held a grudge for a bit and then was over it.

He said that she loves to eat her fruits and veggies and for me to be prepared to do some grocery shopping for her. I just loved hearing how she is so fond of her fruits and veggies.

I haven't really thought about any names yet as I tend to want to get to know the bird in person a bit before I decide on a name, so that I can pick on that really fits. However, I have been thinking about maybe naming her Lizzie - I have always loved that name and it seems to fit her looks.

Anyway, here are a couple of new pictures the breeder sent me of my little girl. Isn't she just darling???

My Gizmo is five years old, Orange Winged. Had him three months now and from the second month he has been horny lol although ive tried to manage this by shortening his day. Every time i ask him to come down off his branches to his cage he takes this as if im going to satisy his needs ha ha its funny but it does get better, the way i look at it is they have needs like us humans..... is he letting you touch him at all, ive been advised to avoid certain areas xx

What a beautiful girl. She looks so bright eyed. How much longer until she comes home?

Thanks guys - I am very excited about her and so happy I made the choice to get her. I have always loved the DYH and hoped for one. I now just have to wait for her arrival.
