I always bite my nails in anxiety when I see people free flying their birds - so much training involved in preventing accidents. But I just published an interview with Chris Biro, well known free flight trainer, on my blog which covers an intro to free flight. You might find it interesting, Lessadalinar. It has a link to his Freeflight Yahoo group too, which has info on how to train birds to do this (hint: it's not for everyone).

Papageier - your birds are beautiful!

What a gorgeous little orange wing she is! At least, that is what she looks like to me.

That is so special. I have never seen such happy birds. I can't even imagine how much work you went through to get your birds to this point, but their happiness shines through in their faces and body language. These videos are really magical. You have created a life for them that is so close to what they'd have in the wild!

It makes me want to cry. What a wonderful person you are. Thank you for giving your guys such a wonderful, happy life!

(My Amazon loved the videos too!)
