Yep... hubby hates Alfie

He asked me if now that I had Jasper if he was going to get a new home now

He's constantly complaining about Alfie and mostly only because he tends to make noise when hubby sits down to watch something on TV and well he always wants to snack on hubby when he passes his cage

Any ideas?

Weren't you going to put some of the fids in a different "storage" room? Perhaps Alfie could admire your hubby (and his tasty flesh) from afar?

He's not a man bird I guess.

Robyn, that is a good idea. I think if he was somewhere that hubby couldn't hear his noise so much (it's like a hey I'm ready to go to bed and you're bugging me thing), he would be okay.

But Geek, you still need to come over and bring Chickie Baby for a play date with Jasper

Try him in a different room and see if that works.

Maybe your hubby just needs to feed him some of his fav foods and try to win him over?

Well.... Alfie used to be a breeder so he's still got a few of those behaviors left. I was thinking maybe he sees hubby as competition... but he prefers the male birds to the female ones... so like... I don't know

He will eat out of hubby's hand but that's about as far as it goes. He will step up for him if he has his welder glove on, if not, he bites. He's just got a really strange personality.

Reminds me of the ad I saw here on Kijiji this morning with some guy wanting to trade his 20 year old amazon for a different bird because he was "tired of the amazon's attitude"
