Melissa, thanks. They do bring sunshine to every day of my life.

Lisa, I think I'm running a home for wayward 'zons. I prefer to think of the scars on my hands as "love marks." I'm not sure what style this house is. It was built in 1936 so has hardwood floors throughout. The people who owned it before me completely renovated the kitchen, so I didn't have to deal with that. Last year I renovated the upstairs bathroom to make it big enough for a real person. Although I love the house, I'm getting ready to sell it to build on five acres just west of town. I've always wanted to live in the country and am looking forward to having more room for even more wayward 'zons -- and maybe even some of their cousins. There are wild peacocks roaming the neighborhood out there and I may be bringing in more. They're so beautiful!

I only have a mere one Amazon. Joanie has all of the others (LOL). My Taco is an absolute joy and is the best mannered bird in my home. She's also an excellent singer. Taco is a YNA and my oldest bird at 21. I think that of all my birds, she probably loves me the most.

Aren't they just wonderful? Each one of them is beautiful in a different way. Ramone's head has all those beautiful colors and I love the way the light hits the YNs green feathers. I would never be envious of anyone else's blessing (be pretty bad of me, considering how many of these lovely creatures God has given me), but one day I just know He'll bring me a YN female.

Joanie...good luck with building....where in Fl are you?
We looked at several older homes, since that is what I prefer...and figured I couldnt manuver the cages up a stair case like you have..and yesssssss.the bathroom in the dutch colonials I saw, you had a hard time passing through the sink/tub area to get to the potty.I would have never been able to get cages in there...thus having to carry them down a staircase with landings!!!

I'm in Daytona Beach. Right now I'm 1 1/2 blocks from the beach -- really nice, but I'm not a real beach person. The land is out west of town -- about 11 miles from here, I think. The man who's drawing up the plans should be done within the next week or so and we'll be on our way at that point.
