Plucking aside, the feathers she has look really good.
My female amazon used to put her butt in the air over just about anything. If I had her beside me on the couch and happend to reach over her back for the remote control, she would instantly squat and moan. She now has a mate and is rather insistant on giving me babies every year whether I want them or not. Hope you enjoy your girl for a long time to come. Female amazons are great. Melissa |

Thanks, I think she looks pretty good too! YAY! I hope those top wing feathers come back in. It looks so bare right there, but everywhere else has down or new feathers. And, I have not seen her fully feathered yet!
The moaning....LOL! Yeah - that is quite .... ummmm.... interesting! I tell her we will have none of that, but she really does not listen. LOL! I bet she would make beautiful babies, but we will never know. I wish spaying her was a simple procedure. Oh well, we will deal with the raging hormones - there are 6 human females in this house - and when you compare her to my 12 year old, Lucy is the nice one!

LOL I totally understand your joy at seeing the hormones subside. Glad she's allowing some feathers to grow in - that shows you're fulfilling her needs more fully than where she was before. Nice!

Hi Kim!
Looks like Lucy is doing beautifully! I'm so happy for her (& you, too!) She looks as though she is beaming with joy! Yay, yay, yay! You have no idea how rewarding it is to see what a wonderful home she has. I'm also so excited that you decided to come to birdboard (had to work @ it a bit, but eventually, you made it!) I just love seeing her updates. P.S. ------> Just wondering, what does Gus think of her? BTW: that last pic of her is my favorite! I absolutely love it!
