Tiki's weekly outing

This evening I was able to take Tiki out to the grocery store with me. The clerks were very excited to see him, asking if he could talk. He blurted out 'what are ya talking about?!', they all started laughing. They he said, 'Hey Maaa! Hurry up!'.. All the way out to the car though he was calling for my son, Kyle, Kyle!! The cashier had such a great time, she said he made her night!

It sounds like Tiki has as much fun as the people do! Maybe more!

Taking Tiki out to see new places and people is very good for him. If he is bored, he gets nippy. He has loads of toys and stuff to play on, and gets lots of attention, but nothing really satisfies him as much as getting out of the house. I know I would get stir crazy too if I only got out once a week! I'm not sure what I am going to do with him in the cooler months though. The acrylic carriers look like they might be OK for bad temps, maybe I'll try to see if he likes them and he can ride in the front of the shopping cart.

That is so neat that you can take him to the store!! I know Oliver and Neko would fly to the produce the first chance they got, LOL. Sounds like your bird is very social, I think thats great!!
