Annie Update

Well, Annie has been with me a week and every day I see signs that she is settling in and maybe even enjoying life a little. She has always stepped up for me but she would jump right back to her cage. The past two days she has spent a little more time on my shoulder. Mornings seem to be the time she most wants to bond. She isn't an active bird and stays close to her cage and cage top but loves her foot toys and really plays and concentrates on them in a way my other two guys never did. She makes little grunting type chirps a lot, again especially in the morning but I haven't heard her talk. I felt so bad for her the first few days because she really was unhappy. Her whole world has been turned upside down several times the past month so I know she must be wondering what's going on but hopefully she is coming to like it here.

The boys now know she is in the house because I let them see her. The idiots were in blissful ignorance up to that point. Bing literally looked shocked. I would love to know what they are thinking.

She's a beauty!!! I'm glad she is settling in more, I'm sure in no time she will feel completely at home.

Nate, Annie hasn't seen the net yet. She is in my office. I am keeping her quarantined in a sense, more to get the boys used to another bird in the house than disease. I not as concerned about disease because I know her background and her former home but I guess you can't be too careful so that's good too.

She is such a cage body I would be surprised if she ventured over to the net when she moves into the big room.

When I figure out her permanent location maybe I'll order one that can be attached to her cage to see what she thinks. I just don't see her venturing over to the window. She's not high energy.
