This is an unbelievable story. As you probably know have Baby Isis at home. The night before last I kept thinking that I had seen the girlfriend of the guy that had Baby. I just did not know where. I do remember saying to my husband, "Gosh this girl has the most beautiful eyes".
Back tracking: Months and months ago I had heard of this guy who had a small rescue and was trying to find homes for some of this rescues (he is very very particular on where his birds go). He lives about 4 hours from our home.
I had called him and he was telling me about the parrots. I told him the type of parrot I was looking for (personality wise) and he said I was describing his buddy but that he was not ready to let go of her unless he found a fantastic home and at that time he was not even considering it! Although he sent me pictures of all the other parrots, and by the way they were beautiful, it just did not feel right, and to me it has to feel just right. He and his girlfriend (the one with the eyes) were holding them. The parrot he was talking about was Baby!
I called him last night to tell him the story and he said he did remember our conversation, but that he did not know I was the same person.
I cannot believe this came to be, but then I do believe it as it was meant for us to be together! The first time Baby and I met was unreal. The way she just came to me, cuddled and kissed me was unbelievable. It was as if she has always known I would come someday! On the ride home she kept preening me and given me these kisses. Grabbing my finger and doing this little tongue thing that she does. I am so happy!
Is this not great????!?!?!?!?
