Oh excellent! I miss my red-lored. She was a rehome and passed away at the age of 28yo. The care she had from previous owner was horrible. She suffered many health problems but she was an excellent bird. Send pics!

Wow previous owners were horrible for the zon to die so young. This one is supposedly in her 20's. She does have a band around her leg but I can't get much information from it. She's a squawker but after playing youtube videos of other amazon making more pleasant sounds she copies them. She's also a plucker and has plucked out most of her tail feathers. She only has two tail feathers remaining. I know she's plucker because there are several chewed up feathers in her food dish and on the floor of her cage. I've been giving her showers (water mixed with Aloe Vera and tiny bit of ACV). The women I adopted her from didn't cause the problems. She only had the zon for a short while. I put toys in the cage but from what I've seen in the past two days she has completely ignored the toys. The previous owner stated she doesn't know how to play with toys since the person who had her for twenty years never gave her any toys. When I mate Sugar she's really mild tempered, very friendly, doesn't bite and allows her head to be scratched by her previous owner. She even allowed me to touch her when with previous owner but now it'll be a month before she warms up to me again in this way. I'll post pictures of Sugar soon.
