Exclamation strange behavior

leslie, my lovebird is eleven years old. she has always been healthy and active up until now. she sleep a lot throughout the day. i have also noticed that her little leg goes limp and somtimes her entire body too, plus she gets this vacant look in her eyes, after a few mintues she'll snap out of it.
is this normal for a bird her age?

thanks.

Your questions really can only be answered by an avian vet after an exam. It sounds like she is having problems, and once you get a diagnosis, there might be something you can do for her.

they can suffer from a series of strokes. You may wish to consult your vet. not sure who you have down in Miami, but there is Sam Backos in Deerfield.

WHen you say her leg goes limp and her body do you mean that she falls? Or is she leaning? Definitely take her to an avian vet - they will be able to help you the most as far as health issues go. Keep us posted!
