When I was younger, my dream birds were an RB2 and a nanday... but, as you can see, the nanday dreams were sorta cut short. Only suns, jendays and peach-fronts... Sorta sad really, because I keep seeing such happy conure owners.
I also wanted a hamster... But noooo. Guinea pigs? Sure. Ferrets? Fine. Rats? As many as you like. Hamster? NOT ON YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR.
Silly government is silly.

If it makes you feel any better Muchi, it won't be long til the rest of the country is like that and we'll all be in the same boat!
God only knows how they work out that you can keep a sun but not a nanday or a greencheek!

Rahni -
Noooo! Australia should NOT follow WA's example... That said, if we time-warp enough I'll be able to wear a tophat and monocle in public without funny looks... lol

Kali -
I met a baby hand-raised sun for the first time this past Tuesday! He was in a pet shop... While he wasn't as loud as some of the birds I've met, I'm afraid the tone/pitch did something horrible to my ears :c That said, he was still an amazing little bird (still mostly green - so young!) and I bought him a shaggy kabob for the cage at the store, seeing as he wasn't yet old enough for the store to be comfortable selling him.
I didn't get to see him play with it - last I saw he was sizing it up. May have to visit him again. With earplugs 0:)

The sound isn't an issue, you get used to it... just imagine that bird in your armpit quacking like a duck, falling asleep upside down and blowing raspberries on it's belly... That's how aweosme Sun's are.

Now can you resist??? I miss my Sun more than i could ever say. BEST BIRDS EVER. I don't think i could get one as a companion bird again though.. it breaks my hear tjust thinking of my BooBoo <3

do it... do eeeeeet.

Quacking, you say..? That would go well with Luen's clucking...
Hmn... well maaaaybe.. But not for a while yet. I live with a few people already not too happy with the noises Luen makes, and I wouldn't have a place to quarantine a sun... And Luen's pretty possessive... And...
Waitaminnit... NO, STOP TEMPTING MEEEEE :C LOL

I adore WA, who cares about the little things? Its not the end of the world if its not the shopping mecca of the world...who cares?
Chill, relax, its a state with a laid back approach... enjoy the beauty that is WA.
If it wasnt for the richness of WA's natural resources where would the "better" states be?

That's all fine and dandy but I want a nanday! lol
Even greys are banned here! Which is funny because there was an ad in the quokka for a proven pair of them recently XD
