Show us your Princess Parrot!

Here's my two. The blue one is named Tjinimin. I got him when he was 10 weeks old and he is very friendly! The normal green one is Manikay. I handreared him when he was 3 weeks old last Christmas. He is bright, curious, fearless like Tjinimin, but ironically he isn't as friendly. He is more aloof but he loves to hang out with Tjinimin. Both of them will sit on me whenever THEY feel like it. Manikay won't step up but Tjinimin will most of the time. They are very entertaining and love to play with their toys!

So who else has a Princess Parrot? Let's see them!

Fawn, she's a beauty! She is a girl? I'm going by the colour of her crown feathers.

BEAUTIFUL parrots, ladies :)

Tiki -- the photo of Manikay flying is OUTSTANDING! And Tjinimin curled up on his back? TOO cute!

Such beautiful birds...

Thanks, Monica! Mine are completely fearless and confident. Tjinimin is the first one to jump on me when I bring the veggies in, Manikay isn't far behind. They both like to bite my toes if I bring them in the bedroom whem I am using the laptop. Tjinimin is the most affectionate one, he gives kisses, will cuddle briefly and likes to be with me. Manikay is more aloof which is weird because I handreared him, Tjinimin was just weaned and 10 weeks. They get along well with each other and the Tiels. If they were in high school, they would be the popular kids who fit in everywhere!

Thanks for sharing - hope there are more pics soon. I've never seen one in the flesh/feather.

Are they a little like a Tiel in temperament etc?

They are nothing like 'tiels (although my 'tiels have all been very laid back perch potato's). Mine is very vocal, very outgoing, wants to be in the middle of everything. She's (she? I actually don't know) the one that won't stay on a play gym or anyplace you put her, as soon as your back is turned if she doesn't jump on it she's jumping onto other cages. Having clipped wings doesn't slow her down a bit, I had her flighted originally but she failed to learn how to turn or negotiate the rooms and for her own safety after several horrible wall slams she's been clipped. I bet it must be magnificent to see them in real life flying. Jewell is the first Princess I've ever seen in person so I have no coloring to compare her too.
