Question care of red rumps

Hi all, I am a newbie and have a worry over roosting habits of my red rumps.
care of red-rump parakeets.

I recently bought a pair of red rump parakeets. They share an 11 x 6 foot aviary with a pair of Rosa Boukes and 2 male budgies. The aviary has a mesh roof covered part with corrugated acrylic and part with corrugated bitumen roofing sheets (out of reach from their beaks).

The Rosa Bourks and Budgies seem happy to roost on a high branch but the Red-Rumps cling to the mesh at the side of the aviary as high as they possibly can. Should I provide some form of roosting box or shelf for them if so could you give me a design idea.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Dave

You might try adding in more branches/perches or maybe even take some limbs from a safe tree and hang it near the top???

I have a pair of red rumps. Pretty huh!

They tend to be more skiddish when not handtame than other types of grass parakeets. They might still be afraid of the other birds. When the male starts making his neat flute sound then you know they are starting to settle in. Mine prefer their rope perch. So if you have one use that. I have one in there with a medium parrot diameter (medium booda comfort perch). The smaller one was not a hit with them. Also, they tend to like safflower more than the other seeds, so make sure they are getting enough of the larger seeds than what the budgies might need.

Hope they are doing well!
