Tjinimin fully flighted!

My little Tjinimin (blue Princess) has moulted and regrown his feathers. Since he is now over a year old and has learned the house rules, he may keep his wing feathers!

I do clip baby birds coming into my home for their own safety. People don't let human kids run around on their own, nor should birds who could get into unsafe situations be allowed to fly around freely. Tjinimin passed with flying colours! He steps up, comes to me readily and knows the "Go Home" command. I say that when the birds get out of their room, usually when cleaning or bringing food. They fly back into their room!

Here's a few pics of Tjinimin in all his glory!

I agree. They really are such beautiful little creatures. He looks so pleased with himself. Please come back to ********** and teach the boys any command. They really don't respect my authority.

Thanks everyone! Tjinimin is not only beautiful, he is a real dellight to be around-very cheeky and cheerful! He's the first one to jump on me when I bring he food in, perching on my shoulder while I fill the trays. Manikay is less polite, he usually jumps on my head!

He is a blue form of the Princess of Wales parakeet, right? You've really opened an interest in Aussie parrots for me, Tiki. Thank you so much!!
