I'd like to find him a girlfriend. The aviary I got him from is gone.

So If anyone knows of a superb breeder in the SE US please let me know.

Superb parrots are defantly a favourite, 5 hours west and i have seen them wild. Remarkable birds, but need a lot of space, as they love to fly from perch to perch
also has a very pleasant song, not to noisy or disterbing.
Tennyis, how old is your superb?? as males take over a year to acquire full colouration, otherwise it maybe a hen
hope this helps

Zac,

It's about 10 weeks old now, it has yellow and red around the face where it is starting to show through so I think it is going to be a male.

Very happy with him, we do need to get a bigger cage though. We bought a cockatiel sized cage and wound up taking the superb home instead. He's almost never in his cage though so I don't think it's to big of a hurry pretty much just to sleep and eat

still another bump-those who have these guys as pets, can you tell me more as i will have one being shipped to me from florida this week,i know they are not cuddly thats why i was looking into the polytelis species, but i have had such a hard time finding any,i have been looking since january, breeders were sold out, their birds did not produce or they never answered my e-mails or calls?i finally found a breeder in florida that had two 4-month old handfed superbs 1-boy he's not sure on the other,so i jummped at the chance to get one i picked the boy

Mine think they are pretty superb. I tell them they are to boost their self-confidence.

I've never seen the real Macoy. He is beautiful. I'm going to read up on that one!
