Idea...need opinions
As some of you know, I have a virgin breeding pair of rosey Bourke’s parakeets. I’m planning on breeding a clutch out of these guys in June. I had an idea and I wanted to get feedback and opinions/ideas from everyone.
I’m hoping to purchase an infrared camera designed specifically for use in bird nest boxes, and attaching it in the Bourke’s box, then set up a website where people can log on and see the Bourke’s chicks hatch and develop. Has anyone here tried this before, and if so what was the success? Any suggestions or opinions on this? If it works with the Bourkes I may also end up using a similar system with my finches to keep a close eye on the gouldian’s chick development while leaving the disturbances to Mama at an absolute minimum.
