Pale Headed Rosella

I am trying to work out how to add photo's to a thread so hopefully this works.

I just wanted to share a picture of a wild Pale Headed Rosella that was patiently waiting for me to move away from the bird feeder so it could eat in peace.

Isn't he beautiful!

Sure is! I've got 2 of them and am hoping they'll breed for me this year.

Beautiful. Was he in your backyard? Nothing like that around here. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah he was in my backyard about 3 metres away from me. We've had a family of them visiting our backyard for the past 2 years. In the spring they bring their young ones to our feeder and water dish. They are so cute.

We often put seed out for them and if we haven't put any out for a while they sit up in the tree and chirp as loud as they can until I put seed out. Also if I'm out in the yard they fly really close to me as if to say 'hey where's my seed'.

I feel very lucky to have such beautiful birds visiting.
