ah! but Bourke's can be extremely aggressive. Last breeding season I lost a male who was savaged by a rival male - unfortunately I couldn't save him.
They also dominate my elegant parrots.

This behaviour is still yet very rare. Aggression shown by the bourkes to the elegants, maybe caused by to smaller aviary, or more than one pair of bourkes per aviary.

The Bourke's are not aggressive towards the Elegants - they just dominate them. The Bourke's are the boss in that aviary. Although the Elegants are beginning to stand up to him! hehe

Hello,

in my room aviary lives 3,1 Bourke and 1,1 Elegant parrots peacefully together.

Only Bonny, the Bourke hen is sometimes somewhat aggressively to the Elegants, sometimes too the another Bourkes cocks, other than Fancy = her cock, also. The aggressiv expresses itself to hiss, no more.

Thira, the Elegant hen to hiss sometimes return.
