rosella is this ok(pics)

is this normal around the eyes i have these rosella birds a couple of months now there is an odd feather in the cage mostly they are long feathers
it seems like the eye is getting bald or am i worring too much and it is just moulting i hope you can tell me is it normal

Please consult an avian vet. I had a gouldian finch that scraped her skin around her eye in December. She needed a topical antibiotic to heal the scrape where she lost her feathers. I had to move her to a special cage with only rope perches because she kept rubbing it on the wooden ones because it itched when healing.

im not very experienced but im not sure it looks like normal moulting,my rosella is moulting at the moment too but she doesnt have a bald patch around her eyes like that,do they scratch at their faces at all??maybe its itchy like from dry skin or mites??is it both birds or just one??

Yes my rosella is moulting at present but nothing like that around the eyes. I would also suggest a visit to the vet is called for.

Yeah it could possibly be mites so i would get her to the vet...the wild rosellas around here dont look like that.

im so sorry i was so long replying as i am only back from a holiday
the vet said he dosent think its mites as there is no scabs around the eye or beek he gave me some plume spray that enhances sheen of plumage and deters insects in case it is i put it in their bath as they both love water
he also told me to see if he rubs his eye off his perch but i havent seen him do it yet so i will keep you updated on his progress
