Hi
LOOKS TO BE AN OPALINE COCK RED RUMP IN FRONT WITH POSSIBLY A NORMAL HEN BEHIND. THESE BIRDS WILL NORMALLY BREED IN THE FIRST SPRING BUT WILL GIVE MUCH BETTER LONG TERM RESULTS IF BREEDING IS PUT OFF UNTIL FOLLOWING YEAR. YOU CAN EXPECT UP TO 6 YOUNG WITH 2 NESTINGS PER SEASON FROM A GOOD PAIR.

the cock is defantly the one in front. Oh, and they are defantly red rumps. the cock is a normal opaline, the hen (from what i can see the hen is a cinnamin opaline)
just cause she is young doesnt mean se wont breed soon :)
if allowed i think that hen will lay her first cutch in a few seasons time.
the young are going to be lutino opaline.
hope this helps,

Zac,

if there was a better picture of the hen i could be 100 percent. it is defantly not a regent. regents are bigger, more yellow, and have an orange beak and are part of the polytelis femaly. While the red rump is from the grass parrot group psephotus.

ok, that changes it all. she is a UK pied bird. The babies should mosty be opaline.
i used to keep many red rumps. But i was kind of bumed after a while, because of there extremely aggressve nature. So i sold all of mine. They couldnt even stop nipping at my bourkes parrots feet, on the aviary next door!
and even when holding for sale, with cockatiels!

Zac,
