Princess got me in TROUBLE!

I took my laptop into my Princess' room tonight to spend some time with her before I went to bed.

She is the quietest bird ever. Hardly a peep since I got her except a few good morning chirps.

Well, it turns out she reeeeeally loves (or hates) The West Wing! Because when I plugged in the speakers, this is what happened...

She has never made so much noise at one time the whole time I owned her.

Did I mention this was at 11:30 at night?

Then I played back the recording of her singing and she sang even more! My dad yelled at me then...

I think she sounds pretty!

Hah! I played it and my grey shut up for a minute then imitated it perfectly. Only louder. OW. I used to watch the West Wing so much I was sure LB (my grey that passed) would learn the intro music. Sorry you got in trouble heh. I think the noise is sweet.

Monica, Bourkes and princesses and 'tiels originally roamed in the same areas of the country so maybe they thought it was a friend from home :)

ha ha, magdalena. I am just imagining the sweet ladylike call of a princess coming out of an African Grey! They are so clever!

I suppose it was my fault. It WAS 11:30 at night. I just didn't expect her to make noise since she is so quiet normally!

I've got to say that compared to the South American crowd my Princess parrots are quiet. King however can get a real head of steam up when he's major flirt mode with Queen. Hubby and I stood outside the aviaries a few days ago while he was enticing Queen and it was like come on mate, take a breath before you pass out.

Umm, made the mistake of playing your vid in front of my grey.hmm, will see the result from this one as he was certainly taking notice.

haha Abby. I suppose it is not the WORST sound in the world though... Better than your grey learning to imatate a screaming hormonal cockatoo...

Arthur just tells the screaming hormonal cockatoo that lives in the bird room at night to shut up.

I am not familiar with this. Is there one on Youtube?

She is so talkative now! Since this night, every morning and afternoon she sings away. She must have just needed some inspiration...
