All of the pictures are cute! I do not know how I would pick one of them if more than one of them were male.

Yep, was just saying that to one of my sons tonight! There is also a younger one, who is rooming with the red-rumps... so I guess it is quite possible I may not have even seen Moo-shoo yet!
They both just look so smoochable!!!! Poor fid's not gonna know what hit him when storm mabird rolls in!!

Hi Tom!!

Ya know, I'm not even sure... I know she said these guys seem to be moving right along as far as real foods goes... but I've been kinda taking baby steps on this one... when I first started talking to her, she didn't even have eggs yet, then I got the email that she had eggs... then I waited what seemed like forever, and got the "they've hatched" email. Now I'm just kinda waiting on pins and needles to see if there is even a male in the three for me. I guess I should find out about when she thinks he'll be coming, as I haven't bought the little bugger a cage yet!

I actually feel a little badly/guilty for getting another baby. I feel that with all the birds in shelters I should be getting one of those, ya know...? But I called/emailed every darn shelter I could find in this country and couldn't find one with a rocky. I'm SO excited to be getting him, but guilt has placed a big rain cloud looming over my parade...

I'll ask the breeder in my next email and see what she says as far as an ETA, & let you know.

BTW, thanks for asking!!

WOW! He is growing rapidly! Or is that we're seeing more pix of him than we did of helio that seem to have taken forever! Have they been DNA'ed yet so you know you're getting a Moo-Shoo and not a Ma'am Shoo? LOL

Well, I think the difference is that with Helio, I was promised them (pics) once a week & sometimes (understandably) that wasn't the first priority of a 19 year old girl, lol, so they were quite often further apart/late. Now, with Moo-shoo, the set of pics after the baldies, but before these, hadn't come through when she'd emailed them the first time, so I got those late, then, she sent these, on time and they came through (different email address... my hotmail was blocking them somehow) Not to mention, this time around the woman who bred them is hand-feeding them... she gets excited with my enthusiam, rather than annoyed by it. She is wonderful. I truly believe we will remain girlfriends long after Moo-shoo is safe and sound here in NH.

Now, as for dna testing... (BTW, love the Ma'am Shoo!! ) She has sent the dna of all 3 rockies out already... we are just awaiting the results. She, I believe has got 2 out of the 3 spoken for (myself & a man from Maryland who wants one as a surprise for his daughters birthday... I don't know if it matters to him what sex the baby is or not.) My goodness, I sure hope someone puts a deposit on #3 before it's time for Moo-shoo to ship!!!

Don't feel quilty you tried to find a rocky to adopt. There is no point in adopted one you do not want and breeder babies need love too or they become abandoned babies.

I know! It's just that Rockies are non-aggressive & chances are to rehabilitate one that had previously been in a not so great situation wouldn't have been too tough, at least not too painful!! Heck, I'm glad I didn't find one being mis-treated! But I just really have had the best luck with the re-homes I've gotten.
Actually though, it's a good thing, about Moo-shoo... If I hadn't wanted a hand-fed rocky, she wasn't going to pull them and hand-feed them because she hadn't had any requests for them, now, 2 out of the 3 (so far) will be going to wonderful homes with tons of attention!
